    parameter value normalization[edit]

    This is not a broken links issue. Magnus Manske's authority control.js tool detects the NLA parameter in WMF project pages with Authority control templates. In most cases the values for the NLA parameter at enwikipeia, commons etc. do not have heading zeros.
    At this moment the tool does not state that the value "000035411562" is an instance of the value "35411562".
    note: scanning the viaf.org source code page for lines using "new Node" helps identifying the national identifiers
    see: viaf:24590642 for Q436699 Banjo Paterson

    new Node("NLA|000035411562", "NLA", "National Library of Australia");

    The problem might be fixed with regex. Bothe MediaWiki talk:Gadget-AuthorityControl.js and the WMF AC templates should support both value formats. Thanks for any help!

    • Instable format makes data usage more difficult. I have planes to normalize all values using bot. Looks like there is no preferred format. So I will use format without leading zeros. Please comment if there is some reasons to prefer format with zeros. — Ivan A. Krestinin (talk) 15:47, 23 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

    user:Magnus Manske/authority control.js has activated Libraries Australia ID (P409) parameter value normalization. Leading zeros are suppressed. Thanks @Magnus_Manske!
    @Ivan_A._Krestinin please normalize existing values added to WD before this change. Thanks in advance! לערי ריינהארט (talk) 20:39, 6 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

    Still some probleme with regular expression[edit]

    The NLA id for https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q3192542 works well (ir we clock on the link), but an alert is shown.Popolon (talk) 21:42, 24 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

    Links to NLA disappeared from VIAF[edit]

    All the NLA links seem to have vanished from VIAF the 24/07/23. They still function normally in Wikidata. --Jahl de Vautban (talk) 18:09, 28 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
