Fox's celebration of The Simpsons' 20th year kicks off Wednesday with a poster contest that "encourages fans to get creative and discover the Simpsons in their everyday life."

Fans 18 and over of America's favorite nuclear family can design and submit posters using original artwork or assets from the official Simpsons website.

"Whether it’s a cob of corn that reminds them of Marge, a billowing cloud that looks like Homer or a picket fence that resembles the spikes of Bart’s hair, inspiration can be found anywhere," Fox said in a press release. Deadline for poster submissions is 11:59 p.m. EST on March 4, 2009. The top 10 entries will be posted on the Simpsons site, where the winner will be revealed April 5. The creator will receive a trip to Los Angeles to attend a Simpsons season premiere party and tickets to The Simpsons Ride at Universal Studios Hollywood.

The network's year-long Simpsons fest is being dubbed “Best. 20 Years. Ever." It will culminate on Jan. 14, 2010, the 20th anniversary of the acclaimed animated series debut. Expect more fan-based contests as the year goes by.

Another Simpsons highlight coming down the pike: Seth Rogen has written an episode of the show and will do some voice acting as Homer's fitness guru, according to E Online.

In the episode, "Comic Book Guy creates a superhero comic which then gets made into a feature film," series creator Matt Groening told E. "Homer plays the lead and, to slim down, Seth Rogen will play his personal trainer."
