To celebrate their upcoming wedding, Bindi Irwin and fiance release a koala into the wild

What says "love" more than releasing a koala back into its natural habitat?

It's the perfect gesture for Steve Irwin's daughter, Bindi Irwin, and her fiance, Chandler Powell.

To mark their engagement, the couple released a koala back into the wild. People attained a clip of the release ahead of the finale episode of "Crikey! It's the Irwins" where they release the koala. The full episode is scheduled to air at 8 p.m. ET/PT Saturday on Animal Planet.

In the clip, Irwin, 21, reveals that Chandler was holding a koala the day they met.

“So it only seemed right to celebrate our engagement by releasing a koala back into the wild," she said.

And it's just the beginning of their wild nuptials: They're thinking of having a "first croc feed" as a married couple, Powell said in October, when he and the Iriwn family sat down with USA TODAY.

Irwin said her family compares her to Amy Poehler's super-organized character Leslie Knope on "Parks and Recreation." She has nearly all of the details hammered out for the wedding next year (except for a date) at the Australia Zoo in Beerwah.

"If you want to know the real truth, she has been planning this since she was about 7," her mother, Terri Irwin, said.

Robert Irwin, Bindi's brother, will walk her down the aisle, and Irwin said she thinks it would be fun to have everyone walk down the aisle with koalas.

Although the bride will wear white, there will definitely be touches of khaki.

Bindi found her dress in New York City and said it's a tribute to what her mother wore. She called her mother's dress "the most gorgeous lace gown." And since she was a little girl, she knew she wanted to wear something similar.

The bride-to-be posted a photo on Instagram that was a nod to Animal Planet's sibling channel TLC: "I said yes to the dress."

The couple just need to pick a date.

"Hopefully your wedding is on season three," her brother, Robert, said.

"Crikey! It's the wedding," Chandler chuckled.
